Rules

The race will be held on a course completely closed to traffic.

The competition is organized into the following categories:

Men

  • under 45 (born after 7/1/1978)
  • 45–54 (born between 7/1/1978 and 6/30/1969)
  • 55–64 (born between 7/1/1969 and 6/30/1959)
  • over 64 (born before 6/30/1959)

 

Women

  • under 50 (born after 7/1/1973)
  • over 50 (born before 7/1/1973)

 

e-Bike

  • It is also possible to participate with a pedal-assist bike (a separate ranking will be organized without distinction by sex or age)

The race will last one hour plus one lap.

Members of Rotaract Clubs, PHF, or 1st-degree family members (partners, children, etc.), and friends invited by Rotarians can take part of the race.

Non-Rotarians cannot become Champions and will make their own classification without considering the age categories.

Winners will receive the Champions jersey with stripes in the Rotary colours.

Depending on the number of participants, one or more starts will be determined.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS 2023

Registration in each event constitutes your guarantee of proper athletic behaviour during and after the event. Upon registering for each event in the INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, you declare:

  • that you have read and approve of these regulations and will respect them;
  • that you vouch for your behaviour during and after the event;
  • that the data provided correspond to the real information (Art. 2 of Law no. 15 of 4/1/1968 as modified by Art. 3, Clause 10 of 15/5/1997 no. 127);
  • that you meet the necessary requirements and have turned 18 by the day of the event;
  • that you understand the nature of the event and are in adequate mental/physical condition to participate;
  • that you will conform to the regulations and indications from the Race Manager, Jury, and organizational personnel;
  • di consentire l’utilizzo di fotografie, immagini filmate, registrazioni, derivanti dalla propria partecipazione alla manifestazione per ogni legittimo scopo, anche pubblicitario senza alcuna remunerazione, cedendovi contestualmente tutti i diritti d’immagine, anche pubblicitario, inerenti la sua qualità di partecipante alla manifestazione all’organizzazione ROTARY CYCLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 – S.R.L.S. ed autorizza questa ultima ad un pieno utilizzo e godimento del materiale fotografico e/o delle riprese video che lo riguardano nel modo ritenuto più idoneo, pur nel rispetto della legge
  • that you waive any recourse related to responsibility or compensation from the organizing company, its partners or its suppliers, any personnel belonging to the organization, sponsors and supporters regarding your participation in the event and related activities;
  • that you assume all responsibility for any incident directly or indirectly due to your participation in the event and related initiatives, fully relieving the organizing company, entities, and people involved in the event of any liability in this sense;
  • that you consent to the use of your information by the subjects involved in organizing the event, with respect for Legislative Decree 196/03 for administrative and accounting purposes, even when transmitted to third parties and for communications related to the organizing body’s specific activities.

 

PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
In this regard, registration in the individual events of the ROTARY CYCLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 constitutes tacit authorization for the Promoting Committee to process personal data for the purposes of collecting entries and determining the general rankings and rankings for each individual race.

The Promoting Committee may, at any time and at its sole discretion, decide whether or not to accept a registration or exclude a participant from the event if its image may be damaged.

THE USE OF AN APPROVED FULL-FACE HELMET IS REQUIRED.
The Organization denies any responsibility for matters that occur before, during, and after the event involving participants or third parties.
The Organization is expressly free of any responsibility due to circumstances, possible damage deriving from incidents attributable exclusively to the participant, as well as damage to property or people that the participant brings about at his/her initiative.
The Organization takes no responsibility for circumstances deriving from fortuitous events and/or force majeure, that is, by circumstances that the organizer could not reasonably predict or resolve following professional management. Registration in each race implies acceptance of these regulations and current Italian legislation.
In addition, the Organization reserves the right to exclude athletes who behave improperly before, during, or after the event.

REGISTRATIONS MUST BE MADE WITH ADVANCE PAYMENT

WITHDRAWAL FROM PARTICIPATION
Should the athlete be prevented from participating in one or more events, the participation fee will be RETURNED, provided that communication to this effect is sent via email/certified email to the Organization at least 1 DAY prior to the planned date of the event.
Should the paying athlete not be able to start due to force majeure, the amount paid will not be returned (except for serious mental/physical reasons documented by the event physician).

POSSIBLE CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT DUE TO MUNICIPAL OR REGIONAL PROVISIONS
The events will be held under any weather conditions, except due to force majeure, for example but not limited to: strikes, fires, natural calamities, red weather alerts (declared on TV or printed in national media), war, sabotage, uprisings, emergency regulations, third-party incidents, interference by civil, administrative, or military authorities, or other incidents that forcibly prevent the race from being held (e.g. elections).
